Lesley Vesevick GLEN ELLYN Exercise diet and sleep With those three in check Lesley is a better business owner wife mother and friend As the proprietor of Papier Girl in Glen Ellyn and mother to three boys ages 23 22 and 18 Lesley knows she has less excuses early in the morning to workout before the chaos of the day begins By 6 a m she is done at H4 Training in Wheaton and is much better able to handle the demands of work and family life She loves the small group setting modified workouts that meet her specific needs and the energy from a great playlist and engaging trainers Keeping her eating habits consistent with green smoothies each morning and a healthy protein for dinner allows for indulging in pizza and pasta when the urges arise 2022 will bring a busy bridal season to her boutique and Lesley is mindfully fit and ready with her consistent daily routine Kristen Kucharski Photos by Mike Catuara Glancer Magazine JANUARY 2022 WESTERN SUBURBS 13

MOM S little black book by Kristen Kucharski JUST HANGING AROUND There is certainly intimidation when you look at online photos of anyone doing aerial yoga It appears slightly impossible for the average human to defy gravity AND exercise while swinging from the rafters in an aerial hammock with no prior experience We discovered very quickly that with guidance from a patient instructor who offered step by step instruction and hands on support even the most uncoordinated person became a star for the day With each new move we gained confidence and the calmness that filled the room was such a positive release of energy in our space Even those who had knee injuries shoulder injuries or back problems found ways to participate with adaptive moves We all quickly became pros and learned a variety of new poses that had us hanging upside down perching like a lion in a tree or lying in a meditative state in a hammock like position The movements provide an incredible stress release and the stretching feels completely and totally amazing 40 WESTERN SUBURBS JANUARY 2022 Glancer Magazine
